Concrete Queenz x Compton Cowboys x Inner Black Yoga

On December 8, 2022 we hosted a community event in Compton at the Wilson Skatepark. Lee from Inner Black Yoga led us in an amazing yoga session at the park then our participants skated at the park. One of our sponsors, Impala Skate, set up games and raffles and almost every participants won a skateboard!

Then we had lunch from EveryTable funded by Arbor Skateboards and Day Watch. After lunch, the Compton Cowboys came with their horses.

The Compton Cowboys are a group of young African American men and women based in Compton, California, who are dedicated to promoting positive change in their community through horsemanship, riding, and community engagement. They use horseback riding and equestrian activities as a means to inspire and empower local youth, provide mentorship, and challenge stereotypes about Compton and its residents. The Compton Cowboys even skated with us at the park!
