OuR Mission
Concrete Queenz is a nonprofit organization based in South Los Angeles dedicated to providing regular skateboarding programs on school campuses, mentorship, and travel experiences to local skateparks. Our mission is to empower underserved girls through our free skateboarding programs that promote confidence, leadership, community, and holistic well-being.
As the first and only free, school-based skateboarding program for girls in the United States, Concrete Queenz offers a unique and culturally relevant approach to youth engagement.

Our philosophy
Concrete Queenz is a community initiative dedicated to empowering girls and young women aged 8 to 18 in South Los Angeles, specifically targeting high-poverty neighborhoods like Compton, Watts, and Florence-Firestone where systemic barriers and economic hardship severely limit access to safe recreation. Focusing primarily on Black and Latina youth who are often excluded from action sports due to cost, cultural disconnect, and lack of representation, the organization provides free, culturally responsive programming directly within local schools and communities.
By removing obstacles such as transportation costs and prior experience requirements, Concrete Queenz creates essential safe spaces that foster physical activity, build confidence and social-emotional skills, and cultivate a strong sense of belonging among participants who would otherwise face isolation and limited enrichment opportunities.
